A recovery run to Pelican Plaza, then a faster pace back along Milne Rd to simulate a sprint distance course length.

Orienteering tempo 33:50 [4] 8.0 km (4:14 / km)

West Lakes Summer Series.
17 controls out of 20 in hot conditions. I struggled to keep the pace high in the second half of the run.
I think that my Garmin 405 is dying. It failed again on me today, so just a map with no route. For the record, I left out 38, 45 & 46.




Interesting results for the scatter course, given that there were several variations of controls for different age classes. It must be some sort of handicap system.

Australia Day run from Brighton, SA to Hallet Cove and return with the Southern Arrows.
Lots and lots of stairs on the boardwalk on top of the cliffs above St Vincents Gulf. A spectacular sightseeing run and good company.
