Running race 6:28 [5] 2.0 km (3:14 / km) +13m 3:08 / km
Melbourne Midday Milers, Peter Moore 2km sealed handicap race.
The Start/Finish was opposite the Pillars of Wisdom and course went anti-clockwise around the 2 bridges (Swan and Anderson - not the English Cricket bowlers).
I started out with a solid first kilometer. I was feeling good, so I pushed hard and caught and passed my "30 second" man with 400m to go.
I finished off well with about 3:10 for the 2nd km.
Preliminary results below:
Note that the "sealed" handicap results will not be announced until Friday evening. Assuming that the start list was seeded in handicap order, I may be reasonable chance.

I've never won a handicap race in 13 years running with the Melbourne Midday Milers. It seems that your form has to drop significantly to be given a decent mark. Perhaps this is one positive for me from being injured this year.
