Flat tyre!
First time in about 12 months, and first one on my road bike. This one just happened to occur when it was cool and raining, and was trying to make work in time for a meeting.

I noticed some shattered glass on the bike path in Edinburugh Gardens - but only after I was already on top of it. Sure enough, my back tire deflated in the next 30 seconds.

The tyre change was relatively easy, and the CO2 canister worked well. The tire inflated completely in less than a second.

I was only 10 minutes late to work, so it wasn't too bad.

Dozer's Dock Run.
Saw the Queen Mary 2 and another equally large ocean liner (Celebrity Solstice) docked at Station Pier.
The Spirit of Tasmania looked like a tug boat in comparison.

I was a long way off the Alpha male group of 2 today, but ahead of all of the A- group.
I did have a decent spring back in my legs today. This was probably due to a day off running yesterday.

Orienteering race 46:52 [5] 7.09 km (6:37 / km) +198m 5:48 / km

State Series #1
Mt Baw Baw
Course 1
3rd place behind Toph 43 and Kez 43.

I lost 3:30 on #3. I ran straight ahead from the boulder on the track bend and found some small cliffs, but no control. I then scrambled around in the thick scrub for 2-3 minutes looking for more rocks. Eventually I bailed out to the track and it was tucked away a few metres to the right of the first boulder.

The rest of the course was quite good, except for #24 where I failed to read my control description and wasted around 30 seconds running to the bottom of the cliff.

The weather was magnificent, and we were lucky enough to come across a lovely koala on the drive down the mountain on South Face Road.

Orienteering warm up/down 21:20 [1] 2.06 km (10:23 / km) +28m 9:43 / km

Course 8 Shadowing Sophie.
She did really well, and navigated several legs on her own.
