Thanks to Jim for putting out some extra controls in the granite terrain on the west of the mountain. I took the opportunity to teach Mason and Torren some granite orienteering techniques.

This course had a great route choice leg from 1-2. I was undecided, but chose to go around to the north of the mountain. I had to run under my control descriptions on the map, which was a little annoying.
Brodie ran this leg about 30 seconds faster than me by going over the hill. However, I am not sure that would have been any better for me. It seemed to be more climb, and not much shorter in distance.

The first half of the course was fun, until control 8. After that it wasn't terribly interesting.

Is it just me, or do the Bendigo SI units turn themselves off after a very short period of time. I found that I had to wake many of them up, even though I was starting towards the end of the start window.

Flat tyre outside the Exhibition Building. I managed to walk the last 500m to work and fix it under my building after work.

My CO2 cannister worked, but there was a buldge in the tyre. I managed to get home on a bumpy tyre, but I took it quite slow.
