Not a great run. I lost 40 seconds at 1 and 1:20 at 3. Both times I stopped too early. For some reason I had trouble with the map scale.
Andy Hogg caught me 2mins at #3. I pushed hard on the left route choice to #4 and pulled away.
I felt slow on my route to #7 and lost some time to the faster runners. I then lost 30s on #9 and then got confused at my attack point on #10 and lost 1:30. I made a parallel error to the left creek. My mistake was running too far to the left from the clearing.
It was a very poor first half of the course and I was in 29th place.
The second half was much better and I improved to finish 15th, and was somehow the top Vic Nuggets scoring runner and top M40 (by 1 second from Carsten).
Hopefully I can run more like the second half tomorrow.
