Bendigo Series on one of my favourite maps at Chewton Diggings.



We started in the pine forest opposite the clay shooting club. Course 1 was quite long and steep today, although the course didn't make the most of the good terrain. There were only 11 controls, and very little in the complex mining detail.
I ran smoothly. My biggest time loss was tripping on a rock and somehow corking my right tricep as I tried to rebalance myself without falling over. This was quite painful for a few minutes and I had to slow down for a while just before and after control 9.
Kerrin won by 32 seconds. He had a 2 minute gap early, then another 30 seconds at 9, but I finished more strongly than him.
