He did very well, but got too confident leaving 7 and ran off in the wrong direction, losing 2 minutes.

Bendigo Bush Series



This was nice to get out into the bush. I haven't been in the terrain for 3 weeks now.

I was reasonably clean, except for my direction over the knoll approaching #8. I thought I was going through just near the saddle, but in fact I had gone over a long flat knoll further to the south. The slope didn't look right as I descended, and I confirmed my wrong location when I saw the large gully to my right.

I tried to pick up the pace a little in the second half, but I didn't really get into top gear for enough of the course.
