I tried my ankle on the 7.7km course.
The warm up felt ok, and I was fine to the first control. After that it got a bit steeper and I found that I could not run up steep hills. This wasn't ideal for today's course, as there were quite a lot of them! The front of my ankle was a sore when I pushed off up hill. So I basically walked all of the steep uphill, and jogged at 3/4 pace for the rest of the course.
The course was fun until control 10. Then it was just a slog up and over the same spur 4 or 5 times.
