shoes: saucony kinvara TR

had a pretty good race. a 10 second mistake overrunning one control. then 2 potentially non optimum route choices. 2min08 behind the leader. top SA performance for about 10 mins until Michael finished.

good long catch up sleep. then went for the relaxing day preparing for tomorrow rather than a hectic day preparing for sunday as well. so no forrest session today. maybe squeeze it in tomorrow? but I am not sure the middle model is even open.
so dropped off the entries at 12, did thsprint model and lauzanne vidy map - short job around chatting to mike about the mapping etc. then onto the technical model.
nothing new to report...
then went searching for an orange shop to buy some data for my sim. and finally some lunch. then a relaxing afternoon at the hotel (working) and the team leaders meeting at 7 before a pasta supper and some final route analysis on the university map. Thanx Connie for the courses.

so ends day 1...

upgraded my ticket for the long flight from Houston to Amsterfdam to economy plus. Got some good sleep, even though it wasn't much.
while mike did his final track session I ate and read the newly acquired bulletin 4. Then we walked arount the university for 90 mins getting familiar with it before the 18h00 embargo started.
was asleep by 8pm.

Note

been really bad about entering my training - but am ready for WOC, as ready as i will ever be.
managed to not get sick in a household of sick people. 2 more sleeps then I fly out again.

run (track session) 48:00 [3] 7.5 km (6:24 / km)

over did the final track session a bit.
10 x 400m sets of walk, jog run sprint round the track.
the new shoes are good, but quads taking strain... need some massage and rest.
