Gym 50:00 [1]
shoes: Gel Asics Cumulus 16

Good to be back.
Normal kind of session although felt tougher as I haven't been for ages
Definitely took my anger out on the slam ball...

Orienteering race 47:03 [4] 4.28 km (11:00 / km) +200m 8:55 / km
shoes: Yellow Inov8 X-talons 212

This was horrendous. Hated the terrain... Brambles... AHHHH!!!!!
Felt like I just couldn't get the speed up in as it was so mingling which I think is why I ended up quite far down.
Nav was pretty good, #4 I was a bit low, then #5 was a little high. #6 I was in the right place just didn't really expect it so ran past. Non of these lost more than about 10 seconds, and just hesitant on a few others.

Orienteering race 15:44 [4] 2.25 km (7:00 / km) +70m 6:03 / km
shoes: Gel Asics Cumulus 16

This wasn't too bad, although didn't really like the course - quite a lot of plain running with only a few controls of intricate navigation. Apparent from no.1 where I went right (but everyone did so I pretty much didn't loose time) I didn't really make any mistakes, just some hesitations and went right on #8, where I think left was better. Couldn't push fully as is was so wet underfoot and hills didn't seem to slow me as much as usual. Just still quite a bit slower than the others.

Cycling warm up/down 15:22 [1] 3.37 km (4:34 / km)

Cycle from home to the finish of the course

Orienteering 46:43 [4] 5.3 km (8:49 / km)
shoes: Yellow Inov8 X-talons 212

Jog from the bikes to the beginning of the course.
Ran my W14 6-Days 2013 course with Kirsty. Did it as intervals - racing head to head on each leg, then stopping and resting at the control. Worked pretty well and got me thinking under speed and fatigue. Navigation was really good - surprising seeing as I haven't picked up a map since the JK and my map was blurry (dodgy photocopying).

Cycling warm up/down 16:48 [1] 3.37 km (4:59 / km)

Cycle back home. The 'secret path' was in pretty bad condition with loads of trees and ditches. Managed to fall in the smelliest river you could possibly find. Maybe need to go build a few bridges and clear some trees after exams.

Running 22:29 [2] 4.07 km (5:31 / km)
shoes: Gel Asics Cumulus 16

Stretch the legs around the Brodie Loop. Got pretty bored of the normal route so mixed it up a bit, inc. a stop in the Castle's pretty cool new play park...

Feeling nackered after skiing and not having run for a week. Stuck with Lily and Lauren for the first 4 and a a half, ran myself for 6 and 7, then pretty much ran with them again for 8. Forgot HRM

Running warm up/down 5:14 [1] 0.51 km (10:16 / km)

Small Lap of the park warm down
