My right arm got a bit tired after about 9k but it's been worse other days and overall I felt pretty comfortable in the kayak. Had to concentrate at times to keep the stroke rate up though. Time seemed to fly by on the second run up the river. Had the shortie wetsuit on but I forgot my hat. I didn't feel cold in the boat but as soon as we'd finished I started shaking. Could hardly eat my ham sandwich and a friendly Labrador was the grateful recipient of my leftovers.

Ballyhoura single track with Mike and Peter. Forgot the car park closed at 10pm. Should have parked at the church. I was tired though so 2 hours was probably enough for me. I did consider not going but I couldn't come up with a plausible excuse! I found the Orbea much nicer than the kona and I didn't fall off for a change! Big difference between the 27.5 and the 29" wheels. The guy parked next to me had an Orbea as well but his was full suspension .

Cycled to and from my friends house for dinner. Took a wrong turn going and had to climb up a few big hills. Good training coming home in the dark with the lights on. Was using the big gear all the way and felt it towards the end in my legs
