torrential rain at bridle trails! trails on eastern side of park were more like lakes - splish splash!

tried to focus on keeping speed up, not hesitating and having a plan. perhaps because of the long stretches of trail running, i had a lot of mental chatter to battle with, so a good exercise in meditation. :)

had another meeting downtown so planned to run home to fit this run into life :)

ran down to waterfront to cruise ship terminal, doubled back and took bridge across elliott ave w to lower queen anne, then made my way up through kinnear park then further up to join the crown of queen anne route. did about 3/4 of crown going counter-clockwise (don't know that i've ever run in that direction!) then zigged and zagged downhill back to marina.

so hungry after this!!! :O

helping e field check for bog slog out at lord hill!

unfortunately, i am not going to get to do it this year as family xmas is down in the bay area with the sale of my parents' house and i will not be getting back in time. :\

fortunately, it meant it was okay to go hang out with him for the day and (hopefully) help him out. he and i have been pretty busy lately with our respective things, so it was a good way to get to spend time together! :D

a bit of unexpected trail running at the end as we were way out on the map when e suddenly remembered that they now lock the gate at dusk and we had to skedaddle back to not get locked in...
