Trans Canada Trail from Jinkinson Road

The elapsed time includes breaks: poop, water (from the streams for slurping and cooling) and full stops for passing.

Even though this was our first formal canicross training, I'm recording it as running because this may turn out to be my October run. Ziggy & I met six other dogs. They were all pulling bikes (bikejoring) and we were on foot. I was kindly loaned a climbing belt and a bungee leash. Ziggy had his usual harness but we must now get a harness which will be dedicated only to pulling times. Ziggy didn't once lash out at the other dogs. He's not a working dog and has more social skills than I gave him credit for. It went so well that I'm planning to buy some gear and race in two weeks.

I let Ziggy have unexpected romp time with his girlfriend and missed the road race in Almonte. We then headed straight for Camp Fortune where I learned even the intermediate orienteering controls were too far off trail for the park's dog rules. So we then tried for five geocaches in Gatineau park and experienced the same thing, a little too far off trail to be legal. Ziggy and I left the park for our adventures.
