Cycling (MTB) 1:57:00 [3]
ahr:139 max:171

MFR ride. A little bit of 'syklubb' tendency in the beginning, but all in all a good training session.

Swimming 26:00 [3]

26min swimming. Am I allowed to add that as training Jymbo?

About time to reinduce a good old Norwegian term: ‘straffetrening’ (punitive training). This particular form of training had it’s palmy days in the eighties and where normally conducted the same day after a bad result. The logic is that bad performances deserve punishment – not bitching and moaning or complaining about everything that vent wrong.

Should have done this session yesterday, but were to busy working.

Run 2:10:00 [3]

NOL long distance. This was simply too long and hard for me. My current physical condition doesn’t allow this kind of suffering.

Note

Don’t know how to sum up this weekend. Can start with stating the obvious; I got a lot of catching up to do! There are many hard training sessions to complete before I’m back. I’m starting to panic just a little bit; I’m not sure if the 10-week project will work after all. Would have been more confident if it had been a 20-week project.

But I can’t give up, even though I’m not getting any younger – I’ve promised to be in reasonable shape to the Oz relay and I intend to keep it!

Even though I sometimes agree with Hunter S. Thompson: "I've always considered running (writing) the most hateful kind of work. I suspect it's a bit like fucking, which is only fun for amateurs. Old whores don't do much giggling."

Run 40:00 [3]

NOL sprint. Can't run, can't spell, can't communicate

Run 50:00 [3]

NOL middle distance. Kept stuffing up in the start so Dave Meyer caught me with 2 min pretty early. However, he where too slow (specially uphill) to build up a gap and kept making small mistakes as well.

Run 30:00 [3]
ahr:125 max:171

Short run just to stretch my legs before tomorrow. A couple of sprints at the end just for fun.
