SA Champs Long - WRE - B'sorah Farm South - 1:15'000
Terrain was a lot less challenging than Friday. Less rocks and more open grassy slopes. Had a conservative start, running comfortably and nav was decent. Michele caught me at #7 and I stuck with her for to #8 and #9 where we picked up Christie. They both started to pull away but I pushed on the downhill to #12 to stay in contact. We picked up Roffe here, then Zoe, then Kirsten and passed Steph M. I was hanging off the back of the train to #13. Watched Michele pull the train too far left down the slope into #14 and I headed right and hit it nicely. Pulled a bit of a gap, acing #15 but was struggling to focus to #16 and lost some time. Smooth into the finish and was happy to have broken away. Very pleased with 2nd, 2:30 behind Michele.

SA Champs Relay - Le Godimo Horse Trials.
That was awesome! Ran first for the Penoc team.
Everything just clicked and apart from a hesitation into #2, I had a very clean race. That feeling when you are running on the edge of control and nailing it is just magical!
Came through the spectator control with the lead pack (Garry, Spencer, Andries, Christie). They all started to pull away as things opened up through the gate. Just about stayed in contact with Christie, finishing a few seconds behind her in 5th.

SA Champs Middle - B'sorah Farm North
Had a pretty terrible race. I struggled to get into the map and felt dead. Despite trying to have a cautious start I lost 4 minutes to #1. Left the path too early and was too low. Relocated off the end of the path. Stopped short to #4 and again couldn't make sense of the rocks. Things improved a bit with some decent navigation from #5 onwards although I hesitated on #11 and messed up #13 a bit.
Terrain was much more tricky than I expected and I felt really rusty! The heat was also hectic. Lucky to get 3rd. Miles behind Christie and Michele though.
