Perfect weather! This isn't the most interesting area and it's very open, so the course was more like a long Orange. But Sverre made the most of it and everything was placed accurately.
Looking at my tracks, I took a dumb route to #1 -- I picked my way through the rocky, lumpy rough open. Not sure why I did that (bad bearing?).
Also, I misread the trails from #3 to #4 and had to back-track a bit (b/c I didn't want to get my shoes wet & muddy crossing the creek...).
But I had to get my feet wet anyway on the way to #5 -- that irrigation ditch is
just wide enough that I can't jump across.
Overshot #6 a bit. Terri spotted it first (it was low, behind a bush).
I think the map is weird around #10; there was a distinct reentrant that wasn't on the map and really confused me. I relocated at the trail junction and went right to #10, despite still being confused by the unmapped(?) reentrant / ditch.
Fun dinner with Kris afterwards. Chili's actually has food that I like. Who knew?! ;-)
