Mountain Biking w/ Jess 1:00:00 [3] 11.0 km (5:27 / km)
I've been riding the fat bike for the last two days, in an attempt to make it snow. Stopped this morning at the furthest possible spot from home to add some air to the back tire. When I unscrewed the pump hose, it brought the valve core out with it, and dumped all of that precious air all over the trail, with the tire crumpling to flat in about 3 seconds. There's nothing like the feeling of being far from home on a hot, buggy morning, and realizing you've got to inflate a 4.6" fat bike tire from zero with a hand pump. It actually wasn't as bad as I originally expected, but the feeling of horror that went through me when the tire first started dumping air will stay with me for a while.
