Mountain Biking w/ Jess 51:00 [5] 11.5 km (4:26 / km)

Straight from bed to bike to breakfast. Trying to fit a three-day weekend into the only nice day this month.

Mountain Biking w/ Jess 1:16:00 [3] 15.8 km (4:49 / km)

It's almost too hot out there. Can we go back to winter? j/k

Mountain Biking w/ Jess 1:10:00 [3] 14.7 km (4:46 / km)

Shorts weather is here! Finally got to show off those scratched-up legs from the Crooked Compass.

I'm zero for two in finding a cheap bento/feedbag with straps designed for bike geometries developed in this century.

Paddling 1:45:00 [3] 7.9 km (13:17 / km)

Calm, sunny, and 40 degrees. Portaging over the road and beaver dam is always a treat. Either the stumps are getting taller, or the water level is getting lower - upper pond won't be navigable much longer. Saw a turkey vulture perched on a post, but no turkeys. Introduced Jess to a turtle.

Mountain Biking w/ Jess 1:13:00 [3] 15.3 km (4:46 / km)

Dinner loop with new brake pads.

Mountain Biking w/ Jess 1:40:00 [3] 14.3 km (7:00 / km)

Back on the fatty while the Stump awaits new brake pads. The swans stopped in again to see Jess during our lunch break. As we approached the final turn, I asked Jess "which way?" and she looped us back around for an extra few kilometers in the woods.

Mountain Biking w/ Jess 2:17:00 [3] 14.8 km (9:15 / km)

What a glorious day to be outside! It finally feels like spring out there. Jess got up close and personal with a pair of swans at our lunch stop. And she wasn't sure what to make of the turkeys we encountered on the way back - I think they're finally moving into our neighborhood.

I went from having two working bikes to zero this afternoon. The Stumpy needs new brake pads, and the Fatboy now has one summer tire and one winter tire while it waits for a removable core valve stem.

Mountain Biking w/ Jess 1:12:00 [3] 11.6 km (6:12 / km)

It was a balmy 43 degrees out, and sunny, so Jess and I headed out on the Stumpjumper. After all winter on the fat bike, it felt strange to be on skinny tires again!
