Road Biking 45:00 [3] 9.1 mi (4:57 / mi)
A mostly-road ride home from the Subaru dealership, with detours onto the new Acton riverside trail (looks perfect for a hike and float outing) and the paved rail trail. Definitely feeling the effects of the longer stem. Nearly understeered myself [understore?] off the road on the first turn at speed.
Shifting much better, although it still skipped a bit in granny under load. Still feeling the right knee.
Gravel/Mixed Terrain Ride 1:04:00 [3] 10.4 mi (6:09 / mi)
Rode back to Subaru in the afternoon, this time taking the singletrack route over Marble Hill, down through the Town Forest, and then up the remaining part of the new Maynard/Acton trail. The Cutty was surprisingly rideable at Marble Hill - I thought I'd be hike-a-biking through the rock gardens, but I ended up cleaning it (albeit sticking to the easier trails). Wished I could have detoured into more of the fun stuff in the town forest. The Maynard end of the river trail was awful - it crosses a floodplain that was just non-stop roots the entire way.
I was good and muddy when I walked into the dealership to pick up the Crosstrek.
