Felt really focused at the start; knew the direction i was going by watching other runners start. I had a soggy start, (almost losing my shoe in the mud) but the first two controls i hit right on, then i lost my focus and got a little lost going to number 3, (and ended up face-planting myself after tripping on a barbed wire which diden't help my focus). I found the next 4 controls with no trouble, but my mind still wasen't fully engaged (and i tripped and fell over the same wire coming back over the bridge, lol). going to # 8 i started looking ahead one control, and kept on doing that the rest of the course. I started to feel exhausted on my way to eight, and took a really bad route through prickerbushes. I slowed my pace a little at #9, and ran the rest of the course with no mistakes except for going up the wrong stream at number 10. Felt tired at the finish, but knew i had a great race with less mistakes than i usually have. (however, i feel that i must work on my endurance and speed alot more, but hopefully i'll be peaking with those by JWOC)

I shoulden't have run this sprint, because i was only planning on jogging to conserve my energy and i ended up hurting the arch of my foot by hitting a rock. I hit the first 4 controls with no problem and then i just wasen't focusing hard enough and i ran right past #5, and made a 3 min mistake on #8 by being to far to the left. after 8 the rest of the course was relatively easy.

First official spring track practice. went jogging with the team, finished off with some stairs and pickups. Felt really tired (today was senior cut day) and my calves were sore.

Went around the GMWS course and shadowed my sister, who ran the "brown" in an impressive 17:57. I feel alright jogging again, and my hip doesn't hurt anymore, but i'm going to take it easy this week, and start building up slowly.

Ran the 4x 400m with three other guys from my school. We diden't do as well as we had hoped, but we came in 12th out of 14 teams and set a school record, so that's not too bad. I wasn't even thinking while was running, it was like my mind shut off. However, i felt myself die on the last lap.

I ran the 600m in 1:28. I must say I was a little disappointed with my time, but the track was a little slow and i wasen't feeling too good. I started out in the back of the pack, then i caught a guy on the second lap, and the final lap was when i began to feel like i was warming up. I was 25th over all. and completely exhausted at the end.

I went to the track at cornell and we warmed up for about 10min. doing hand-offs and sprinting. felt like tommorow was going to be hard.
