I had a great drive down and was very well hydrated for the run. Only problem is I didn't anticipate how slow my start was going to be! Check the splits for more detailed comments, but I was really disappointed to see how I finished for the starting race of the weekend. Just 4 minutes quicker and I would've been 6 places higher! That's a lesson I'm going to take to heart.
I pushed myself as far as I could keeping in mind that I have two more races to go after this. That's why I didn't kick it so hard at the end.
A good active stretching warmup which tired me ever so slightly, then began the push-up circuit after improving my form recently to allocate 60 seconds rest between each interval:
14, 18, 14, 14, 20+, but on the last one I couldn't manage 20+ and stopped shy at 16. Will attempt again day after tomorrow.
