Orienteering 1:23:13 [3] 8.89 km (9:22 / km)

Orienteering Race at City De Jeune. All in all this was a good run. I didn't feel super energetic when I got there, but once I got going my speed picked up and my legs felt quite good. I didn't have any major issues with any controls, only overshooting 2 of them by a small amount. I made great use of the contours, as the terrain in that area is perfect for that sort of exercise. Visualizing them went really well, and I was able to navigate using the mental image quite well, which was a really good practice

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [1]

About 20 minutes of warmup prior to my race, consisting of all the usual dynamic stretch's, as well as A's B's and C's.

Running race 10:10 [4] 3.0 km (3:23 / km)

Third [practice track meet, still at Terry fox track. Did the 3000m and beat both my previous times, at 10:10. This was pushing it today, as my legs felt tired still from the race on the weekend, however once I got going I managed to keep going for long enough. Came a little close to blacking out, so next time I will try drinking and eating more throughout the day before my race

Running 1:00:00 [2]

Track practice after school, consisting of about 30 minutes of dynamic exercise, and then an easy 3000m, followed by static and dynamic stretching again. Not a very tough practice, but loosened up my legs for the race tomorrow.

Recovery 30:00 [0]

I could tell my legs were in bad shape so I spent more time at home after the track practice stretching, rolling, and massaging in order to loosed them up.

Recovery 1:00:00 [0]

Continued the plan of loosening everything up for the race by taking an ice bath, followed by a hot bath. I need to do more research as too which is better, but I am a little to wimpy to spend very long in the ice bath, which is why I switched over
