Today was a case of just getting around, anything better than that would be a bonus. I was running with 3 pints of water (more than I needed) and 5 gels/bars expecting to be out for up to 3 hours. Other than 6 where I lost 5/6 minutes, no significant errors (more than a minute or two), just slow and steady. This meant I really enjoyed myself, even taking in some of the views from the northern hill. 1:15000 map was great to use. I was flagging a bit by the end (mainly legs), understandable as I haven't ran anything nearly as far as this for 8 months, I did always have enough energy though, and never too thirsty. Only to be 38 minutes down on the winner was great for me.
