Note
Hey look, attackpoint exists! I keep forgetting this since I haven't been doing any training =/
Every Thursday I spend 1.5 hrs in the pool at scuba lessons - which gives me lots of PE credits, but doesn't have anything to do with cardio fitness - and I've been doing lots more walking and climbing up/down stairs than I used to, but that's not really "training" anyhow. Earlier in the semester I had tried to get onto the elliptical when I had some free time, but it made my shins flare up like crazy, so I decided to lay off for a while.
I did go to National O' day in September but decided to teach newbies instead of run because my shins were unhappy. I also went to a local NEOC meet last weekend with Kyle Haddad-Fonda (who I haven't seen for *ages*), which I ran most of, but VERY poorly. The map was fairly bad, which combined with my rustiness led to a fairly bad race. By point 6, Kyle and I had each messed up enough and had tried several times to find point 6 that we teamed up for that one and the next few controls and came back early for a DNF after 90+ minutes already.
Coming up is NEOC (yay!!) followed by scuba certification dives the next weekend.
I miss you all terribly, and it's very heartening to read your logs. Keep it up!
