Definitely pain in feet, not quite to the point of last week's race but that's probably because I was out for 1/3 of the time. It was an enjoyable course; since there was so much crossover, I focused on making route choices that allowed me to look ahead and see things that I'd see again later in the course. When punching the last control, with the finish line in sight, my left ankle collapsed in and I dropped to the ground. Still swollen and hurting, but I can walk fine.

Currently debating whether or not to log competitive four square as cross-training

*On a serious note, tomorrow's WIOL race will be treated as technical training and a test run for the new pair of trail shoes I'm trying out after having ditched the salomons. If the race doesn't murder my feet - and it's a small park so it shouldn't - I think I'll run a mile on the track in the evening with my normal running shoes plus the super feet inserts. It'll be a slow mile but movement nonetheless, and hopefully it will help me gage whether or not I need to look elsewhere for insert possibilities. I'm also feeling like a bike ride along the Burke-Gilman trail on Sunday, but my physical therapist and coaches might not be happy with that. Hopefully the whether will force me out of it or I might just do it.

Had my physical therapy session at 3 before and my therapist taped me with that cool KT tape stuff whatever it is, knee was chill during the game and I played front row. She taped my left hamstring, I was tender to the touch in some spots back there, and she also did this quick 5 minute laser treatment

Iced both knees immediately after I got home from the game, as per instructed. It’s strange that the first time I’m actually taking care of my body like an athlete is when I’m already a sophomore

Left knee still bothering me/getting worse. Saw the trainer before practice and he evaluated me and said it was probably hamstring tightness. Took home that stick rolly thing people use and loosened up my muscles - already feeling a little better, but I’m probably gonna ask my coach to play me just back row for at least the start of the game tomorrow.

Left knee has been bothering me when fully straightened, probably from all the jumping I’ve been doing, so I played just in the back row for the last half of the game. Also over extended my elbow when someone landed into it but that won’t impact running.
