Really pleased with today's outcome. Although I'd have liked to run 67:00s I always said that sub 69:00 was the benchmark which I'd have taken.

Started off in the second group of runners, around 20-25 runners in each group. Broke away from the pack with Chris Richards and another runner buy the pace felt too hard after the first 2 miles, I knew if I was to continue for another 11 I'd blow up at some point and right so as we were 5:04 average.

Backed off slightly and ended up running the race solo in no man's land until 12 miles, I'd passed a couple of runners from the front group that had dropped off and ran the last mile with 2 from the group behind.
Hard running without a group but managed to dig in and hold the pace, although your hurting I didn't die off at 9 miles like I thought and it wasn't until the last 1.5 miles that I really started feeling it.

Happy with the result, especially off the training as it could have been much harder, looking forward to the next block of training and hopefully hit another big pb in the Autumn half.

Arrived at Cheshire the day before the race, ran an easy 4 miles to shake the legs out and continued with 6 sets of strides. Felt pretty good today, the course and weather is looking fine for tomorrow.

Legs feeling a little fresher than yesterday, ran 6 Hill Sprints at the end, all feeling fine today.

Easy 60 mins after work, legs not feeling too bad today. Ran 6 sets if strides at the end of the run, all feeling OK, could feel the glute slightly as normal.

Easy 20 mins, ran in the new vaporfly 2....they feel insane!
Didn't stop tonight just ran straight into the 3k at 5:10 pace, pretty warm tonight and hard to say how I felt really.
Maybe a little pre-rqce jitters I don't know, felt OK on the 3k, could feel the glute/hamstring still a little....just hope it doesn't slow me down towards the end of the half.

Ran 6 sets of strides afterwards and fine. All good today!

Only done the 7 exercises which was given by Chris,
Consisting of various side planks, swissball hamstring curl, 50/50 glute bridges and deadbugs.

Easy road run after work, legs didn't feel bad at all after yesterday's session.
Ran pretty easy with 6 sets of strides towards the end of the run, the legs weren't feeling bad on the strides either, I could still feel the glute/hamstring slightly running back up hill.
