no working-out today either, heavens, just went in to D's office and finished watching dog-training DVD on iBook, listened to half an hour of birdcalls & did some of Music Ace lesson 10, read some, and coughed alot, like more than usual - am I getting sick? ick... wait and see. Went to thai place in Edmonds - good food (flat rice noodles for D & red curry and fish for me, yum, almost O-food) plus they gave us a pretty tropical calendar. Not alotta hydration, gotta drink more tomorrow.

Off to Victoria on a file today, what a blast. I love talking to pharma entrepreneurs, they are always thinkin' up new N crazy approaches! And we had big fun on the ferry too....Curry at super-obscure restaurant in Tsawwassen with D who picked me up at terminal, AND gulab jaman! No "work-outs", stormy weather, and got dehydrated a bit. Happy to go to bed.

kinda groggy first part of today. No training except extensive pinky rehab (lotsa isometrics - I discovered from the arthritis website that's what I'm doing) cuz it still feels.. funny. But I don't think pinky isometrics count on this site, at any rate I'm not gonna admit to them by logging them formally, hehehheh...Iced shoulders three times so far today & I think we are meandering back to normal-land. O-food is ma-por with added organic broccoli & peas to put in nice color AND digestive virtue. Also gonna experiment with addition of cracked wheat to brown rice again in aid of virtue (& I hypothesize an enhancement of nutty flavours- mapor is VERY robust taste so can stand this I think) - sides of raw veg and an odd little fruit salad - I have a questionable plum, a kiwi, some kinda...small asian apple-pear-thing ? I'm gonna try to make it a happy experience with the addition of lemon juice, vanilla & a touch of sugar... 3 glasses h20.

walking 40:00 [1] 2.8 km (14:17 / km)
rhr:57 slept:7.5 weight:62.8kg

nghhhnghh... so tired. Shoulders hurting & so sleep is broken pretty bad, gotta get the ICE, mmmm... went downtown in the pouring rain & had big fun working contract, lunch w/ old work-buddies, etcetc. Skytrain out to New West & the wind scared me so much I thought maybe I'll explore the bus system that stays on the ground. Still No Tart Shells! what is IGA thinking?! No hydration to speak of but fair amt of liquid fun- had an evil bone-dissolving Coke at lunch, heheheh, & a pumpkin spice latte to think with as I worked the file. met another work buddy on bus as power was out at the Surrey site so he was goin' home. We talked about music & dogs. O-food was an experimental paella, worked pretty well - organic brown rice & creamy-soft garbanzos, spicey italian sausage, shrimp, peas, tomatoes & carrot & red pepper. Tasty & colorful & comforting as we waited for power to fail - hasn't yet though wind is working on it tirelessly. ICE, ICE, here I come. Yum yum.

Yellow Dog Yoga 45:00 [1]
rhr:61 slept:8.0 weight:62kg

westward bend & tree were particularly rewarding today, pulling in compassion, practicing humility. Left hand numbness/soreness/tingling axis is getting better management - keeping it warm, tiny "pinky" & ring-finger exercises, massage, & even trying some vigorous swings to push blood thru all my twisted little arteries. I think it is helping. Turns out I am drinking more than I thought - metric/imperial confusion - 4 glasses of water, but just into recommended zone. it's a start. O-food will be butter chicken (yeah, that's barely O-food, but...) with the usual organic short-grain brown rice partnering with a fridge-cleansing montage of many steamed & raw vegies, and followed by the remnant of dad's apple-cranberry pie which is mostly not O-food but which heals the soul, also necessary equipment for really good orienteering. Diana's veil is coming along.

nhngghh, short sleep, maybe a nap this afternoon - did ten minutes pranayama and tantric visualization which helped as I am up and prioritizing at least - recycling etcetcetc will have to wait - my 4 projects today will be to start work on diana's belly-dancing veil, bathe the plumerias & the guava, dissect the smaller vacuum to see what it is whining about, and cook a fabulous O-dinner for my dad-in-law & D, the former almost ready for his golf trip to China & Thailand! Found a beautiful & noble piece of wild salmon yesterday, which I think I will broil with olive oil & garlic, then serve over organic brown rice & wild rice combo with a beurre noir (OK maybe not quite O-food) gussied up with tiny mince of lemon peel & fresh dill, a gratinee of baked acorn squash with broth/cracked pepper & a touch of parmesan, a stirfry of,, broccoli/red pepper/zucchini which I will ask Alfie to consult on as my stirfries (white chick) are not as good as his or D's. Also a salad with that tahini-sweet australian ginger dressing that D liked, toasted almonds, red pepper batons, &...other stuff. Alfie is bringing a pie! 3 glasses water.

walking 15:00 [1] 0.75 km (20:00 / km)
rhr:58 slept:7.5 weight:62kg

Walked with Dennis in the pouring rain thru the woods to the store & back home - made a hybrid wor-wonton/hotNsour soup for lunch, YUM! - chinese dumplings, kamut noodles (pretending to be japanese buckwheat soba) ,shrimp, gai lan, carrots, & tofu with a soupcon of sesame oil on top. Off to New West for dinner, thus no O-food excepting lunch. We might get a puppy for Christmas!!! Hope the orienteers up on the North Shore had a wondrous time on Magnus' oops Thomas' brutal course - as I said to D, at this season, really not even a "grande double-shot extra-hot no whip skinny pumpkin spice latte in a double cup" could make me really Happy about orienteering in this weather. Me & my Orienteering Chair are Fair-Weather Orienteers. Started reading Thoreau again as Thackeray is finished. Forgot about hydration completely, oops.
