A short run up to Loxley to test out the hip. Ran fastish in order to maintain good form (harder when jogging) and felt good, not too much discomfort, but perhaps a bit nigglier in the arvo?

Such a beautiful day that I couldn't resist getting out on the bike for a loop of Strines via High Bradfield and back through Dungworth. Although I am a bike punter, I can't help being miffed when I get overtaken, so I was relived to recognise Scott as he came cruising past on the way up to Moscar on a bike that probably cost more than my car. We rode together and chatted for a bit until he got bored and accelerated away. Nice ride out and no discomfort from the hip, might try a run tomorrow.

Circuits 10:00 [1]
slept:7.5 (injured) (rest day)

Another day off, did some stretching, core and glut exercises and a load of walking around carrying Alex. Normally I would train through this kind of niggling injury and no doubt make it worse, but there is nothing coming up for a while, it's the offest part of the off season, so I'm happy to take a rest and hopefully nip it in the bud. That said, I have been enjoying training recently and starting to run well so I am anxious to get back into it before I lose too much fitness.

Right, need to get this better. Will take a couple of days off and get back onto the core and glut exercises, I have a feeling that this is caused by lack of glut activation...let's see.

Running 15:00 [3] 3.0 km (5:00 / km)
slept:7.5 (injured)

Was going to go for a longer IW, but for an inexplicable reason I appear to be crocked. My R hip has seized up and is making it very uncomfortable to run with pain in my lower back and hip flexor. Very odd after a very easy week, but perhaps caused by too much sitting down and travelling over the weekend?

HFW, hobbling again.

Running 50:00 intensity: (45:00 @2) + (5:00 @4) 10.0 km (5:00 / km) +200m 4:33 / km
slept:7.5

Delayed run due to complete body malfunction. Woke up sore and tired and it took the whole day to recover any kind of good feeling. Back and hip are especially bad, so I did some glut exercises before I got out and then finished off with some drills and 8xhill bounds. Wanted to do a session of some sort today, but that was not even close to happening, will take it easy tomo and run Hallamshire on Thurs, all being well.
