Orienteering race 1:23:12 [4] *** 8.2 km (10:09 / km) +350m 8:22 / km
ahr:160 max:172 shoes: Newer Salomons

DVOA A Meet, Fair Hills, MD. Nice meet, nice day. Felt fine running, navigation and route choice were mostly fine, only a couple of small bobbles. Kept HR between about 88% and 92% most of the time.

Orienteering 20:20 [4] 2.7 km (7:32 / km) +60m 6:47 / km
ahr:160 max:170 shoes: Newer Salomons

Sprint course, DVOA A meet, about an hour after finishing regular course. Was able to run harder than I thought I could, given how tired I felt after the regular course. No problems with navigation.

Running 45:00 [3] 4.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Newer Salomons

Trail run, out back in Bald Rock and Limekiln Preserve areas. Not a great run--seemed like I couldn't breathe well the first couple of miles, like a mild asthma or something. Last couple of miles were fine.

Running race 48:37 [4] 5.0 mi (9:43 / mi)
ahr:165 max:172 shoes: Newer Salomons

Annual Mudders and Grunters race, FDR State Park. Perfect conditions with tons of mud, some snow, messy trails, etc. River crossing at end was deeper than I remember it being before--up to my chest, and freezing cold as usual. Kept up good pace, mostly keeping steady between 92% - 94% of max HR. At about the 3 mile point a guy comes alongside and asks if the conditions are always like this, because his friends didn't mention anything about mud. I figured he either has friends with a good sense of humor, or he should reevalute who he thinks his friends are. Overall, lots of fun.
