Running (Street and Trail) 29:37 [4] 4.75 mi (6:14 / mi)

From Windsor Green, once around Greenbelt Lake and back. Felt good. Look what a day's rest and a good night's sleep does.

Note

Was supposed to play racketball again but it got cancelled. I dressed to run but didn't. Instead, I ate then got tired and lazy and was a couch potato. Just one bag of cookies this week and look what happens...

Running (Track) 16:38 [2] 2.35 mi (7:05 / mi)

Warm-up. Knee pain kept me slow. It was hurting walking most of the day before running.

Running (Track) 16:30 [5] 2.1 mi (7:51 / mi)

8 x 200 with a +200 slow jog in-between. Winds were calm. I did 2 in 32 and the rest in 33. No knee trouble during this.

Running (Track) 16:30 [2] 2.25 mi (7:20 / mi)

Warm-down jog. Slight knee trouble.

Running (Trail) 51:28 [4] 7.9 mi (6:31 / mi)

From Glenn Dale, MD to Fran Uhler at Race Track Rd. and back on the WB&A Trail. Some snow and ice on bridges. Fairly steady pace after the first slower 3/4 mile. 25:53 at the turnaround--all miles under 6:30 on the way back which is slightly uphill. The distance has been paying-off in allowing me to keep-up the pace. Knee hurt only a little between mile 2 and 3.

XC Skiing (Mountain) 3:04:00 [2] 12.2 mi (15:05 / mi)

Up Three Mile to Stone Coal Flats. Cabin Mountain Trail to FS 80(?) to Breathered Mountain trailhead. Turn around at the Salomander Run of the Timberline Resort. Back out FS 80 to Blackbird's Wing Trail to Three Mile. The snow was great! Started a little before noon after a big late breakfast. Peggy and I were the second and third people to go down the Cabin Mountain Trail after the new snow fell overnight. It was very beautiful. We felt comfortable and didn't tire. The stream crossings weren't hard and the rocks were neglegible. After the intial climb, coming back on the Blackbird's Wing Trail was fast and fun. It had just been groomed and was easy to control and practice (trying) skating.
