Running (Street & Trail) 48:39 [4] 7.3 mi (6:40 / mi)

From Greenbelt Park, through the apartments and across Kennilworth Ave to Pontiac Street. Down to Berwyn and across the RR tracks to College Park. Right on Rt. 1, and left to the Paint Branch Trail, to Lake Artemesia and back up Pontiac Street to Greenbelt Park. I started with Tim Connely-Fukawa and Gary Anderson from PGRC. We started on wet pavement quicker than we expected to finish but slowed as Gary, new to the club and older started to fall-off at Rt. 1. We got Gary to Lake Artemesia then picked it up again. Tim who's adjusted to running in the mid-50 miles per week started to drop me on the mile climb up Pontiac St. for the first time. I stayed with him to the end but clearly he's in better shape for now. Getting pushed was good. I haven't been able to lose much weight yet and am still around 170 lbs. It will come with time though these days I don't seem to recover from workouts or desserts as quickly as I used to. Half mile splits on the trail: 3:22, 3:31, 3:24.

Running 16:30 [2] 2.3 mi (7:10 / mi)

From Greenbelt Park, through the apartments and across Kennilworth Ave to the top of Pontiac Street and back. This was a sort of warm-down. We'd dropped Gary earlier and hadn't seen him return so Tim and I went to look for him in-case he'd gotten lost. It turned out that he'd tried to cut into the park a couple trails too early from the apartment buildings.

Running (Street & Trail) 53:48 [3] 7.8 mi (6:54 / mi)

From Quill Point Dr., Fletchertown Rd., to the WB&A Trail, to the parking lot at Patuxent River Park and back. I was still a little tired from Tuesday. A headwind slowed me going out but I earned the ride coming back. Recorded half-mile splits: 3:33, 3:22, 3:26, 3:29, 3:34 and a 6:45 uphill mile finish.

Weights (General) 14:00 [3]

30 pushups, 45 situps, dumbells.

Running (Street & Trail) 39:54 [3] 5.7 mi (7:00 / mi)

From Quill Point Dr. over the RR tracks at Hillmeade Rd., Burroughs Dr. to Driscoll Dr. to Backus Dr. to Duckettown Rd. to Chestnut Ave. to Fletchertown Rd. to Quill Point Dr. Undeterred by being tired from the run yesterday, working late, starting in a 11pm rain shower, stepping in a unexpected festering mucky puddle, getting caught at the RR tracks for 10 minutes by a freight train and again having to hop the fence; I enjoyed the moonlight run in the 66 F night.

Running (Warm-up) 10:00 [2] 1.4 mi (7:09 / mi)

Warm-up jog to the start on Day 2 of the West Point Meet; on the Lake Popolopen map.

Orienteering (Competition) 1:04:47 [4] 6.13 km (10:34 / km)
spiked:5/6c slept:7.0

West Point A-Meet Day two on the Lake Popolopen map. My navigation was pretty good. Six long legs plays to my favor however, I took some bad route choices and had difficulty finding a place to run in the rocks almost everywhere. Good sleep seemed to help me recover quick from the day before. I could have run much longer this day. See the split list.
