Running (Street & Trail) 34:14 [3] 4.4 mi (7:47 / mi)
slept:5.0 weight:181lbs

Washington, D.C. From 14th & Independence Ave., SW, down The Mall along Independence Ave. and the Reflecting Pool to the Lincoln Memorial, to Ohio Dr. to the Rock Creek Trail, to Calvert St., to the Woodley Park/Zoo Metro Station. It was about 79 F after the rain storms but things were drying-up. I felt soreness in my quads initially which was odd given how little I'd been running lately. This went away. I felt pretty heavy both in body, and in my legs from cycling. The national condom wrapping was going up over the scaffolding on the Washington Monument. I was fairly slow going up the hill at the end.

Bicycling (Commute) 44:04 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (34:04 @4) 12.5 mi (3:32 / mi)
slept:5.0 weight:179.5lbs

From Northfield Rd., Bethesda, MD with Max on his bike, then to 12th and C St. SW, Washington, D.C. I moved fast after leaving Max though it took me a few miles to shake out soreness from my legs. I slowly caught-up to a pair who were picking up speed, then I sat on them. As we got around slower riders and construction, we were hitting 24mph and 25mph for a long while. Construction slowed us again after Fletcher's Boathouse. The lead rider slowed and for a short while I followed second in line. I took over and somehow lost the other two on the flats, doing 21-23mph. There were headwinds after Georgetown again but I hit the traffic lights well for what seemed to be a fast ride.

Bicycling (Commute) 47:12 intensity: (30:00 @3) + (17:12 @4) 12.5 mi (3:47 / mi)

From C St., SW, Washington, D.C. to Arlington Rd., Bethesda, MD, then to Northfield Rd. with Max on his bicycle. I had a pretty nice tailwind almost the whole way home. Along the way, as in the morning, I saw Kris Beecroft's brother. I tried not to push too hard and rode alone until picking-up Max. It was warm out.
10 PM

Bicycling (Commute) 12:47 [3] 3.2 mi (4:00 / mi)

From Northfield Rd. to Elm St. to watch a movie, then back. It was a much nicer temperature than earlier when coming home from work.

Bicycling (Commute) 38:12 [3] 12.1 mi (3:09 / mi)
slept:5.25 weight:179.5lbs

From Northfield Rd., Bethesda, MD, to 12th and C St. SW, Washington, D.C. With Max on the bus I went straight-in to day. The trail was being well today. I rode alone passing various groups and moving well. My legs were a bit tired from the hiking last weekend and not getting enough sleep last night. Headwinds after Georgetown slowed me a lot but I hit the traffic lights pretty well.
5 PM

Bicycling (Commute) 39:54 [3] 12.0 mi (3:20 / mi)

From C St., SW, Washington, D.C. to Northfield Rd. MD. I rushed home to get Max to soccer practice. I made good time on bike and through trafficked areas. The winds were mixed but mostly coming from behind. Car traffic after getting home got us to soccer practice late.
