fake bike 41:54 [3] 10.35 mi (14.8 mph) +452m

Accepting that training outside just isn't going to happen as often as I want, I finally broke down and got a bike trainer. It's definitely much better than any I've tried in gyms and whatnot, but then again it's my actual road bike, so all the others probably definitely didn't fit right. It's all fancy app enabled, and I randomly picked some video ride in france to do, so it showed real recorded video synced with my speed, which is fun and I can see it making this tolerable. Probably need a projector now though... It controls the resistance, and the wheel feedback is pretty spot on too (freewheeling and cobblestone rumble!). The cassette spacers weren't in the right spot, so it was skipping a bit, but that's normal bike fixable.

The trainer is made by Garmin, so it auto uploaded to Garmin Connect, and thus Attackpoint, which is awesome. But it also uploaded the gps track of the video ride, which I'm not sure I like. It's cool to see where it went, but it's going to pollute my AP gps world map and make me look way cooler than I really am so I'll probably delete them.

In other news, Emmett finally got another tooth. But he also got covid. They're probably not related.
