Well today i went as hard as i could, to see what level of fitness i'm at and just because i wanted to give my body a good thrashing for the final...not that you'd be able to tell from the results.
For now, i'll continue with my fortnightly long run and might start to do a mild fortnightly hill session where i'll tape my calf muscles under erin's guidance.
The course technically was tricky to the level that i expected it to be. Was extra cautious going into controls, being careful to read minor detail for the next leg. Was a bit hesitant for the 1st half, but didn't make any mistakes. 2nd half was striding out more over the longer legs but after 15 minutes my mind wanted to go faster but my body couldn't.
Well done to jen and the organisers for a good event!
