Travelling home from Bristol

Orienteering race 33:00 [5]

1st leg on the women's 120+ for SYO. Lost a bit of time early on because of a lack of confidence when finding other gaffles but generally ok and ran pretty hard. Came in 3rd and Janet and Jenny pulled us up to 2nd overall!
I wasn't expecting to be the only family member with a JK medal this year...
Really pleased the women won too (well done to Rach, Kim and Amanda).

Note

No warm up or down (unless you count 45 mins with Alex in the sling and a couple of drills in the start box!

Note
(rest day)

Achy legs. Nap walk with Alex for over an hour but didnt really walk anywhere mainly just swayed and chatted!

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

More than I would have done but had to run and get my emit card, run to the start and run back to the car to get changed after my run. Split starts are a right faff!
11 AM

Orienteering race 47:15 [4]

JK middle, lost a bit of time on a way too obvious depression (3?) and the control after. Felt good apart from on the hills which I pretty much had to walk. Well over 15 mins down, not sure how these other W35 mums do it!

Note

Travelling down to Henley, 3 hour plus journey with no stops as we were waiting til after Alex had his nap which he never did

Did a little sling walk round the golf club this afternoon to get him to sleep but not worth logging.

Wednesday Mar 27, 2013 #

To Hillsborough library for a music class, down to see the ducks (and a swan) afterwards and some looping around to get (and keep) Alex asleep.
