Paddling (Floreat) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Fenn XT Ski

First ever XT ocean paddle. Tooms gave me a helping handshove thorugh the break then spent the next 5 mins trying to convince myself this was a good idea. Stayed dry the whole time which i think is a fantastic result considering the amount of paddling done of late plus the added bonus of being in an unfamilar boat.

Wrist held up well after trying to change the watch over at the 25min mark.

Road Cycling (Gos to joondalup) 1:40:00 [3] 47.2 km (2:07 / km)
ahr:159 max:179 shoes: Giant TCR 2

Good ride with a strong tail wind behind me. Warm in the sun and i managed to ride big chainring the whole way there so happy with that.

Orienteering race (Joondalup) 20:23 [4] 3.49 km (5:50 / km)
shoes: Asics Kayano 15

Good run but my tank was running low. Felt sick before the start which i think was because i hadnt drunk enough on the ride. good clean run and won myself an icecream and also finished top ten. Good way to finish a hellish week at work

Road Cycling (Floreat) 1:24:00 [3] 43.0 km (1:57 / km)
ahr:162 max:190 shoes: Giant TCR 2

What a comeback. Last week hanging off the back and getting dropped constantly to suddenly riding comfortably within the group and making adjustments to ensure i was never close to being dropped.

No shortcuts today and even managed to drop some riders on the first climb. Tooms went past only for me to claw myself back beside him on the col de Water tower. Had to stop on the descent at the right hand turn for a car which meant the sprint back up to speed was tough. Lead the second group to iona before i popped. Survived the second climb only to come into christchurch on back of Tooms wheel.

Put a surge in during Dalkeith to mark the front group and felt comfortable. Won the sprint at Uwa as a few went early and then sat up so i put my head down and finished the sprint to the sprint line and took the honours.

The hons category climb to the railway line was brutal.

tooms seemed to have recovered from the weekends Chronic fatigue syndrome.
