Plan was to just plod around this course preparing the body for next weekends M21A run. Took off better than i had anticipated and punched first 2 controls before a slight climb to 3 sent out alarm bells. Head spins and nausea so i had to drop pace to reset body. Walked out of 4 and then stuffed 5 before gathering back together for 6,7 and walk out of 7 to the plateau. Was contemplating pulling out after 9 but was able to jog/run comfortably on the flat and downhill so continued through to 11 before i had another major relapse. Sten overtook me here and i just couldnt do anything about it as i was fighting every urge to not vomit or pass out.

Finished run and couldnt believe i gained a 3rd place from such a shit feeling run.

Cant wait for the body to recover properly so i can get my top speed again.

Was holding Tooms and fletch for 15min before i decided that paddling in no mans land wasnt enjoyable so i droppe doff to allow .. to catch up. At 20min mark i turned around figuring that it was probably not so smart to overcook myself on my first major training session since my fasting fortnight. .. was happy with decision as well. enjoyed the lumpy water ont he way back as felt stronger than first half of paddle.

Started off at the front riding through to Freo before the body started to give me signs that all was not well. Then tooms throws in reserve street and i reacted by taking my jolly old time!! Couldnt hold onto them as soon as any inclines came into play.

By the time i hit canning brdge north bound i waqs in serious trouble as my inner quads were cramping badly. Something not sufffered since 99.

Hung on to tooms until como and then just grovelled to south perth. Picked up when we got a tow from glen parker but whent he pace went from 45km/hr to 49km/hr i pulled the pin as i couldnt push without cramping.
