Run 30:00 [2] 3.0 km (10:00 / km) +100m 8:34 / km

Taking down some controls for the long course. Really nice orienteering above the power lines. Had hoped to run it but I was also the first aid person. Note to self - next time bring way more wound care supplies. The weather held out for the event which was awesome. It would have been miserable if the race was two days later.

Run 40:00 [3] 4.0 km (10:00 / km) +150m 8:25 / km

Middle distance at BCOC. Ran alone in the forest as I started 15 minutes early. Didn't feel like I was "racing" rather just a steady run out there. No big mistakes though could have been cleaner in spots. Local knowledge was likely a help and a hindrance as a few times I should have been paying more attention to the map.

Run 45:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:00 / km) +150m 7:50 / km
shoes: Columbia Outdry

Setting up the model flags and four of the long controls. Didn't take my compass for the model set up which was interesting. Had to be much more careful reading the features/contours.

Run 50:00 [3] 7.5 km (6:40 / km) +10m 6:37 / km
shoes: Brooks Cascadia Black

Greenbelt trails with Courtney, Kriston and the kids riding their bikes. A variety of speeds. We couldn't get them off the bikes though they weren't used to the leg burn on some of the hills.

Bike 2:00:00 [3] 22.0 km (11.0 kph) +600m

Riding with Courtney and Kriston. He did pretty well - one crash in the parking lot due to not being able to clip out. He didn't realize that his brakes were opposite from Australia until afterwards so I guess that is a good sign...?

I rode home alone to fix a few signs for the event this weekend.
