Orienteering race 58:58 [5] 8.2 km (7:11 / km) +240m 6:16 / km

Aus Relay Champs. Went out last, but ran steadily and was able to catch Louis near the first control, and then dropped him without much trouble. Caught Glenn Meyer early on in the final loop, but then stuffed up one of the easiest controls on the course, and subsequently lost the two places I had gained. Not happy.

Orienteering race 2:25:23 [5] 15.8 km (9:12 / km) +490m 7:58 / km

Aus Classic Champs. Pretty tough day out, and the lack of any navigational skill made things worse. Wasn't able to hang on to Lorenzo or Ben when I was stuffing around number 11, and had to run the rest of the race by myself. Really struggles on a course that was not that navigationally difficult, but I seemed to be running quite well for most of it.

Orienteering race 21:51 [4] 4.0 km (5:28 / km) +65m 5:03 / km

Aus Sprint Champs. Started off well, but started to fade a bit around 12. Stuffed up 14 and 15 quite badly, and almost got caught by Jim, and was very lucky not to get caught in the more technical "urban" section.

Orienteering race 55:53 [5] 8.5 km (6:34 / km) +220m 5:49 / km

Lost a bit of time at the first rocky control, and then got caught by Ryan after a poor route choice to number 5. Stayed with him until 11, where I hit the wall coming out of number 11. Ryan then took another 4 minutes out of me in the next 1.2km. Really needed to HTFU

Orienteering race 1:52:56 [5] 12.6 km (8:58 / km) +360m 7:51 / km

QLD Long champs. Got into the circle well on the first control, but then spent a lot of time stuffing around in the circle, in a similar mistake to the first one yesterday. Thought 5 was a bit suspect. Number 6 was pretty bad, but after that the only real problems were some pretty suspect route choices.

Orienteering race 1:00:14 [4] 6.0 km (10:02 / km) +190m 8:40 / km

Aus Middle Distance. Started off quite well, but then stuffed it on the first control in the green. Stuffed up two other controls after that, but not quite to the same extent. Slowed down and made sure I got all of the controls in the errosion gully.
