Mukamuka munter. I knew it wasn't going to be a good day, I could feel it in my legs, no rhythm in my running at any stage, just strength and lungs from go to woe.
Managed to keep up with Bryn for a couple of hours, tried to gap him on the downhill, and did slightly, but didn't have any real pace on. Knew after this I didn't have anything left to knock out the last 10km, told Bryn to piss off (which he did) before I blew and staggered back with terrible cramping to my hamstrings. Managed to finish 2nd just with lack of depth in the field and therefore won the 90kg + grade.
Went home and went to bed for close to 20 hours.
Bryn is bloody good though about time he won something after lots of seconds and placings in the last 6 months.
