Note

want to do well this weekend even though its not the main event for me and just a test... dunno how to play it (hard out for all 100 vs. chilled first 50/slightly more intense second 50 vs. only pushing during last 30)

guess it will be an on the day decision really. unless i can really get better at judging how im feeling. i think i want to do under four hours and thats the only goal i have at this stage.

from GNS around mapara road then through towns hilly streets... felt ok ish, tried to keep it pretty slow and relaxed.

went straight down to the lake afterwards and swam around for 5mins... then did some kicking in the shallows using my hands to steady me, hard work.

i can feel tightness in my left ankle which is restricting movement, i notice it sometimes when im running/walking in that i dont have to think about my right foot but left foot often feels weird and have to consciously put it down.

i think this is still tightness from the achilles rupture, so will work on ankle flexibility i guess. i think the kickin helps... i felt real good afterwards and most of the tightness and pain in lower calves is gone.

could be a good post ride thing to do while im up here.

riding home from GNS... dunno felt really tired straight away. warmed up by town so cruised up and down some of the hilly streets.

no real intense pains, just niggly pains when hammer is applied.

walking with a little bit of pain... what a blowout... not sure what i did wrong either...? maybe a week off then doing a big ride was a bit much? i dunno. it wasnt that big...
