Narrabeen Lagoon circuit on opening weekend. Huge crowds including Dave Hatley.

Abbotsford Cove. Good course, map, decent run. Lost time at around 6 controls, mostly on route choice, but it only adds up to about 45 seconds, or no places. 1-2 was a surprise in the split analysis - thought I chose the best, easiest route to the left up the main road, but even though I ran most of that at sub 4 minute kms, it was my worst split and at least 10 seconds slower than going right. Happy with 7th in a good field.

Fast one today, the bunch split and I was in the front group. Only 4 others tackled Akuna (9:58, and 9:02 for McCarrs), managed to stay with them back to St Ives, 10 minutes ahead of Jock and Dave H who were in the second group.
