NavDash at Willetton SHS. The area was familiar from last year's state champs, and that made it easier. Got confused on the first leg, and didn't plan the fifth leg very well after nearly colliding with a group of boys on the way into #4. Rest of the course was ok.

Orienteering 19:08 [2] 1.47 km (13:02 / km) +4m 12:51 / km

Easy course with R. It wasn't very easy, but I let him do it by himself as much as he could and stayed some distance behind. He went wrong a few times, but he checked his control numbers well and figured it out each time (with only a couple of small hints). His navigation seems to have improved over the Easter events.

First run over 10 km for this year (not counting Hill Park Dale). Didn't feel great at the start, but wanted to avoid cutting it short, so chose a loop through Success with no shortcut options.

Orienteering training at Garvey Park. Four short bush courses, quite tricky, especially in the dark. Should have taken the wide track option at the start of the third course, because some of the bush was very thick, but I wasn't too unhappy with my navigation overall.
