First run in the neighborhood of my new home in Harker Heights, TX. It is pretty nice that this neighborhood loop is right at one mile, and what is better is that I have a clear marker every quarter mile. Less good is that between 0.5 and 0.75 I pass a series of excited dogs, one of whom isn't behind a fence. Only for the daytime, this run is. Way more tired than I should be after a mile.

After my neighborhood loop, a neighborhood 'out' to Harker Heights Community Park (hereafter HHCP) mostly along Indian Trail rd. Net downhill and sidewalks along the main road, which is nice.

Recovery slog in the neighborhood. A little sore from the weekend. I brought my Surface and tried reading a technical paper while jogging--only made it a page and a half over the course of a mile before giving up. Running and reading is different than elliptical-ing and reading, as I suppose would hold equally as true for a map as for a technical paper.
