Note

Last final and meetings and moving out, so no training today. I guess there was a lot of lifting of heavy things. Can't wait for the weekend!

Warm-up and then 4x 400. Times are about what they used to be :).

Lots of packing/planning today. Almost there!

Soccer 35:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Trail

With Kate & Mallory. Drills and keep-away.
7 PM

Run 26:00 [3] 3.0 mi (8:40 / mi)
shoes: Nike Trail

Time is made up because my garmin lost battery partway through. Battle Park trails and back.

Strength 3:00 [3]

Some crunches, etc. while waiting for the garmin to locate satellites. The mosquitos are coming out!

6 PM

Run 30:00 [3] 3.21 mi (9:21 / mi)
shoes: Nike Trail

Went for a run with the group. The usual loop. Super humid, but not especially hot out. Bizarre weather; I'm not used to it.

Anyway, the run was fun. And I dunked my head in the fountain on the way back :).

One more final down! One to go, and a lot of logistics to figure out.
9 PM

Soccer 30:00 [2]
shoes: Nike Trail

Kicking the soccer ball around at Ehringhaus with Mallory & Kate. We got the Three-Man-Weave going at one point, which was fun.

Soccer 15:00 [4]
shoes: Nike Trail

Water bottle soccer again. This is good speed training! My legs are a little sore from yesterday...

Sunday May 2, 2010 #

9 AM

Run 46:22 [3] 5.01 mi (9:15 / mi)
shoes: Nike Trail

Gimghoul and then Battle Park, part of Bolin Creek, along Hillsborough and up part of MLK. Early, but hot out.

The run honestly felt sluggish today, kind of like running through wax or something. Yikes! Good to get out in the morning, though.
10 AM

Walk 35:30 [3] 1.81 mi (19:37 / mi)
shoes: Nike Trail

Back from Carrboro, on the greenway. I'm logging it because it was tricky with all the groceries :). I didn't bring a shoulder bag, so it was like carrying weights & it was super hot out...I definitely regretted buying orange juice and apple sauce midway through. In a hurry to get back in time for the ESL end-of-semester party, but it turns out it was pushed back a half hour anyway. Excellent :).
4 PM

Soccer 10:00 [1]
shoes: Nike Trail

Mallory, Kate, & I kicked the soccer ball around for awhile.

Soccer 15:00 [4]
shoes: Nike Trail

Then we played free-for-all water bottle soccer. Great fun, chaotic as always, and it's been a long time since I've played.
