Orienteering race (OY) 1:06:40 [5] **** 7.9 km (8:26 / km) +135m 7:46 / km
ahr:171 max:184 shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330

OY on Hobbit Coast, dodgy mapping, dodgy control sites and dodgy orienteering. Was a bit poked and struggling big time with keeping up speed and reading the map, didn't help that a few controls where wrong and we went into the worst mapped area I've ever been in (old gobblin). Only ran course 2 as inside of legs a bit sore. Need to sort out my map reading, orienteering like a retard

Mt Biking race (MTBO-score) 1:33:01 [5] *** 15.0 km (9.7 kph) +755m
ahr:169 max:193 shoes: Specilized MtBike Shoes

MTBO score on Marquita's Garden. Very tired after lack of sleep. Planned good start route but middle wasn't so flash, tracks were a bit slower than normal as it was very wet and slippery. Realised at the bottom of the hill I was going to be pushed for time and went hard, started a blow a bit by top, got what was planned and went hard for finish, blew foo foo value big time, had a spew and finished 3 min and 1 sec late. Feel rooted

Mt Biking 50:00 [3] 15.2 km (18.2 kph) +215m
ahr:157 max:186 shoes: Specilized MtBike Shoes

Mt Bike on mainly gravel roads behind Lake Rotoehu while Jamie had a paddle, was checking out some areas for possible maps. Buff over the ears saved them today, had a close call when going down wet slippery road at 50km/h into a 25km/h corner, dont really know how I got out of that one

Running (Night redwoods) 32:00 [3] 5.5 km (5:49 / km) +75m 5:27 / km
ahr:158 max:179 shoes: Inov8 RocLite 305

Night run in redwoods with Brent and Jamie before mt bike. Loop on lowe flat part of forest, not as cold as the other night only 3 tops on. Loving these inov8's

Mt Biking (Night Ride) 1:12:00 [3] 15.7 km (13.1 kph) +450m
ahr:163 max:189 shoes: Specilized MtBike Shoes

Night ride with Brent after a speedy transition, Jamie pussed out with the excuse of not having a bike. Went straight up to Gunna Gotta, down to A-trial, Tickler, Be Rude Not Too, Dimondback and up to Exit. Bloody freezing down in valley at end of Be Rude, ears almost froze off, little but stuffed near end.

Orienteering (Map exploring) 2:24:00 [2] **** +350m
ahr:133 max:175 shoes: Adidas SuperNova Trail

Trying to find some maps for Waitangi 2008 with Simon and Jamie, not much luck, who invented the chainsaw and why hasn't someone developed a blackberry destroying weevil.
Had some fun trying to pick up the sheets of ice on the puddles and smashing them, oh good times

Running (Redwoods) 57:00 [4] 9.2 km (6:12 / km) +265m 5:25 / km
ahr:164 max:188 shoes: Inov8 RocLite 305

Run with Brent, Jamie and Simon (well Simon for the first 5 mins) in Redwoods, was dark and cold, started on Moa Loop, frost set in half way through (6pm) and I lost feeling in my bottom lip and ears, had a shirt, short sleeve thermal, long sleeve thermal and a jacket and never once felt warm. Pulled out on going up reservoir hill and came back along edge and through redwoods. News said "coldest night of the year"

Other (Squash) 48:00 [4]
ahr:157 max:188 shoes: Asics Rocket

Squash with Andrew, he wasn't very up to it, sat out for ages while I ran myself around (still coming down from dance party) Good games tho and not feeling sick at all.
