Orienteering race (OY3) 1:22:33 [5] **** 11.2 km (7:22 / km) +230m 6:41 / km
ahr:183 max:197 shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330

OY3 on Stag's Roar, set by Nick and Controlled by Neil so major room for a cock up, but they did bloody well.

Started like shit, kept being way off on compass, then stopped looked at it, told it, it was wrong and never used it again for the rest of the race. Went pretty bloody good from then on. A couple of 30s in the coastal/low vis otherwise tech good for a change this year. Running ok but still not 100% right. Smashed the rest of the massive field, feels good beating 2 people.

Turns out my compass is wrong! and maybe I'm not shit at oing

Rd Cycling 1:23:00 [3] 33.0 km (23.9 kph) +515m
ahr:157 max:190 shoes: Specilized MtBike Shoes

Chucked Robs road wheels on the epic and went for a road ride for the first time since just after moving up to Auckland (that was the first and last due to Asian drivers). Pain, from numerous body parts as first ride in a few weeks and seemed like was going up hill the entire ride, well for the first 30 mins anyway. Went out past new flat, Glenvar, Lonely Track rd, down Wright rd to East Coast rd, out to aerodrome and back via Green and Hobson roads.

Running long (Night) 1:34:00 [3] 12.3 km (7:39 / km) +315m 6:46 / km
ahr:156 max:196 shoes: Adidas SuperNova Trail

Night run with Neil and Tim from our place. Down to and along creek, then through Kristen school (Neil was totally lost), through reserve to uni, around bush behind uni, through top campus and along bush track next to creek (including the rope bridge) over to gills, up and around hill loop, back round and home. Did just under 4 min up the hill keeping a pace I could sustain, where did reps earlier in year in around 3:10 but my HR was 1 beat higher today.

Neil this might help

Note

Had bloods taken today, slight problem being my arm didn't want to give up any blood, after 3 stabs and 4 times the amount needed, I left a bit pissed off and light headed (that also might have been from no food for 12 hours).

Went for a walk later in afternoon and still a bit lightheaded, plus meetings sorting out flat move all lead to no training, but getting fired up again
