Mt Biking 1:26:00 [2] ** +285m
ahr:121 max:171 shoes: Giant Anthem X1 - 2009

Checking some mt biking for Karyns event in a couple of weeks, was fairly easy as my legs were fatigued from yesterday and Claire was stuffing around like a pansy. Nice area but wouldn't want to do too much more there, was f*#ken hot as well.

Note

Easy week next week, co-insides with starting work tomorrow, bugger.

Rd Cycling long 2:45:00 [3] 76.3 km (27.7 kph) +570m
ahr:154 max:183 shoes: Specilized Allez 06

Long ride from home to Claires grandparents in Wattle Downs, went via the North-western bike way. Was pretty bloody hot and thought it was only going to be 64km, bloody mapmyride was wrong, was also a head wind from Mt Smart on heading south. Feeling satisfactory stuffed right now.

Bit of a cruise on the roadie, legs feeling a bit fatigued after last couple of days, did the same loop as last Sunday without the out and back along Ridge Rd, pretty hot.

Ride at Gardens with Rob, and Marquita for the first part before she was too weak. Rob took me round and round in circles up on the top tracks, not too sure where we went. It had just rained tho and I was not liking the wet sand all through my new bike, neither did Rob so ride wasn't very long and I was going to run as well anyway. Do notice the difference between breaks that work and breaks that dont, spent so long on crapped out ones that I'm falling short into corners due to the breaks actually doing their job.

Running tempo 1:03:00 [4] +570m
ahr:166 max:191 shoes: Adidas SuperNova Trail

Run with Neil out the back, was fairly solid effort, went right over and back up my track to show Neil the changes I made to the end of it today. Feeling a bit sore in butt area due to squash yesterday, and could feel that I was putting in a bit of effort but felt generally pretty good. Got absolutely dumped on by rain, couldn't believe it, some of the heaviest I've ever ran in, was good fun and a welcome change from the sweat feast weather from the last week.

Pretty buggered now.

ahr:160 max:185 shoes: Giant Anthem X1 - 2009

Ride out at Gardens on my new bike. Was awesome! Neil, Rob, Marquita and Greg Barbour. Felt really good and strong, spent just about the entire ride in the middle chain ring (one little bit doing up the downhill track) and I normally spend the entire ride out there in granny. Think I nailed the settings on the bike, only thing I'm not sure about is the seat, its a palanus killer. Feel like I could smash Neil at the black stump

Note

Had an unplanned rest day, first real day back home after a month, lots of tiding, sorting, that sort of shit, was going to ride before physio but lost track of time.

Shins have been a little sore since run on Fri, a couple of tender spots mainly on right side but nothing too bad, hoping to keep on top of it
