3:05 p.m.. Vegas.

Ride with Claire, FUCKEN FREEZING, waited all day to try and miss the showers, luckily we did but it was still so bloody cold. Didn't really have any enthusiasm since the tracks were so crap yesterday, stuffed around trying to decide what to do, then just did diamond back, and some of the creek track, luckily I forced myself to do the old Haro track on the way out otherwise it would have been a really short ride, got back and my legs were frozen, had massive chill blane like areas on my lower legs,

Wind Trainer, got bored real quick tonight. Stepped it up a gear every 5 mins until I got to a point where I could feel my left hamstring really struggling, then changed to doing a couple of standing efforts.

Note
(rest day)

Had intentions to get on the wind trainer when I got home, but ended up working real late and was too freezing to take any clothes off when I eventually got home, did wear my skins for a whole 24 hours tho so I'll count that as a recovery session.
Legs not too bad today, a little sore just about everywhere but nothing major, achilles a bit tight and a little thick but could be way worse, good decision to pull the pin yesterday I think

Orienteering race 52:14 intensity: (5:02 @1) + (21:52 @2) + (21:51 @3) + (3:29 @4) ** 5.56 km (9:24 / km) +145m 8:18 / km
ahr:149 max:178 shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 340 2nd

11:09 a.m..
Course: Long

Legs a fucken mess in the morning, achilles really tight. Got the first map and hoped the 2nd would use the same area with some nice oing. Achilles were really sore up to and out of 1, got 2-3 ok then on a similar leg to something I've had here before, I missed 4, that slope does not have the major changes in direction as mapped, it is just 1 subtle slope. Got the the map change and swore loudly with the boring/useless/pointless/fucken shit/crap course with the major up and round the top of the map, really lost and motivation to try and finish, got to 8, and really couldn't be fucked, somehow managed to end up at the top of the ridge and decided to run along it to 9 (since it is nice up there) once at 9 just jogged to the last as my achilles were killing me. Three days with this as the last was a day too many for my achilles. Shame we didn't stay in Woodhill rather than the same shitty course on a shit map (with a nice forest the only thing it has going for it)
