cycling 45:00 [1]

Work commute. The temp was warm for the trip home.

rowing 20:00 [1]

Row, row. It was enough to break a good sweat and move a bit. My legs are a bit tired.

"Runt" at S-F.

My breathing felt a lot better than yesterday. My legs were a bit tired. I had a mixed run - most of it was fine, a few times my navigation was not what it should have been but it didn't cost me, and a few times my navigation was not what it should have been and it cost me. I ran Pasi-style again.

S-F is a really nice place to orienteer. I used to prefer rougher terrain, but I'm getting to prefer pleasant terrain.

I didn't skip a control. I thought about it, but never got around to it.

I've got headcam video from both days at S-F and I'll try to get around to processing and uploading the videos in the next few days.

The weekend was really nice. Thanks to all the SLOC folks for putting on the event. Thanks to OUSA for getting us a discount at Motel 6 on the way to the event.

Pete was good company. On the trip back he was like an entertaining all-talk XM station (in a good way). And, I made it home in time to watch all but the first basket of the KU game.

running 10:00 [2]

Jogging to warm up. Once I started my heart rate didn't get below 147 despite the light effort. I guess that's the lingering illness.

SLOC red at S-F. Super fun/pleasant terrain and an interesting course. As planned, I ran Pasi-style. That cost me a little on a couple of legs at the end where there wasn't much to read on the map and I had a bit of zig zagging.

See twitter for the course. I'll scan it later.

cycling 45:00 [1]

Work commute. The temp was in the mid 60s when I went to work and nearly 80 for the trip home. Downtown was still crowded with people after the parade. I encountered a lot of bad drivers on my trip home.

rowing 20:00 [1]

Row, row.

Then laundry, laundry.

Then pack, pack.

Work commute. Pleasant weather today.

A very short technique session on the base map (contours + lidar lutning image) of the neighborhood and Holcolm. Except for one brief coughing fit, I felt pretty good.

My O' technique was sloppy. I was orienteering passively - just heading in the right direction and checking off features. I'll need to fix that for the weekend.

Work commute. Mary declared that I was "almost normal" today. I'll still got a bit of a cough and some junk in my lungs, but she's probably right. I'll do an easy run tomorrow.
